Membership, in the adult section of Badminton-Pierrefonds, is open to all who are over the age of 18. Annual memberships are accepted beginning of June each season, until the maximum number of members is reached. After that you can be added to our waiting list. We play doubles only, and with plastic birds.
Schedule: Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8:30 PM – 10:30 PM
Fees for the 2023-2024 Season: $160.00.
Our capacity is about 125 adult members. At the start of the season, we can only accept 125.
Please note that we do not accept cash payments. The membership fee is non-reimbursable and non-refundable, and membership is non-transferable.
How we manage the courts
1 Place your name pin at the end of the waiting queue (left hand side of the line).
2 The first person in the waiting queue (right hand side) chooses a team;
- Choose 3 other players
- Move the 4 name pins to an available court marker.
- Begin play immediately.
3 When there are no available courts, the first person in the waiting queue;
- Choose 3 other players
- Move the 4 name pins to a tab in “waiting to play” area.
- As soon as a court is available the first waiting team takes it.
- Move the 4 name pins to the available court marker.
- Begin play immediately.
4 After the game, place name pins at end of waiting cueue, game winners first.
To avoid line ups…
Members waiting for a game should;
- Select a team quickly when it is your turn.
- If the first person in the waiting queue is not available, move their name pin to the end of the queue.
- When taking a break, remove your pin from the waiting queue.
- Warm up besides the courts prior going to play.
- Guests are not allowed to select team members.
- No more than 2 guests or junior elites are allowed on the same court.
We welcome volunteers. After 10 pm, please help out by returning the birds to the bin placed in the waiting area when a game is finished. To continue to play, pick up the birds from the bin and return them when finished.
